Good, glad to hear it. But enough about you. I thought you'd like to know that I have recently launched a project codenamed "Neave.tv", which, by a bizarrely freakish coincidence, is also its real name.

Go see clicketty here: http://www.neave.tv/

I like to think of Neave.tv as my own TV channel, but via the web. Over the past month or so I've been been relentlessly immersing myself in the world of online video via websites such as YouTube and Google Video, but most of their content is, well, to put it politely, utter rubbish. You'll find videos of people setting fire to their farts, people setting fire to their siblings, people kicking their siblings up the rear end whilst setting fire to them, people singing into webcams whilst kicking themselves up the arse and setting fire to their surroundings, fire-fighters spinning around inside tumble dryers whilst kicking themselves up the arse, that sort of thing.

Don't get me wrong. There's a time and a place for amateurish arsonist arse-obsessed slapstick, but I feel totally overwhelmed by it all. So in an attempt to redress the balance somewhat, Neave.tv is a collection of short films, weird stuff and a whole host of creative goodness that I've found on the web and really like. At the moment there are about 60, 3-minute-ish videos, with more to be added all the time as I find them. If you subscribe to the RSS feed you'll be able to watch any new videos as soon as they've been added. More than anything, though, Neave.tv is a proof of concept of how video on the web could (and should?) be used. Me hope you likey.

That's it, I'm going now bye.
Paul.
Thu, 28 Dec 2006 11:07:00 +0000
